This notice explains the main risks of holding physical precious metals with olaMac Security & Logistics. It is not a complete list and does not constitute investment advice or a recommendation.

Market risk

The value of gold, silver, platinum and palladium can rise and fall sharply and is usually quoted in US dollars, so its value in reais also moves with the exchange rate. Prices shown on our website and in the portal are indicative market prices from third-party sources, for information only. You may get back less than the value you deposited.

No advice

We provide custody and logistics services. We do not provide investment, tax or legal advice, and we do not recommend any purchase or sale. Seek independent advice where appropriate, including on the tax treatment of your holdings.

Liquidity and delivery

Physical metal takes time to verify, transport and deliver. Withdrawals depend on scheduling, verification of instructions and the terms in our Terms of business.

Verification

Metal is credited only after passing verification. A consignment that fails verification may be held while it is investigated or assayed, which can cause delay.

Insurance limits

Insurance is subject to limits and exclusions set out in the Storage Regulations. Metal in transit is covered only up to the declared value.

Fees

Storage fees are charged on the value of your holdings and apply whether prices rise or fall.

Digital security

Protect your sign-in details. We will never ask for your password or ask you to pay into new bank details outside the portal.
